Unique location on the south coast of Lefkas:
unspoilt nature, stunning views and silence

House Of The Sea is situated at the end of its ‘own’, quiet country road that winds through centuries-old olive groves. The junction that leads onto this country road is approximately 25 km south of the island’s capital, Lefkas. The drive from Lefkas to the south coast is a delight and offers magnificent views of the sea, the mainland, small islands (one of which the island of the Onassis family) and across lovely wooded hills, mountains and bays.

The present total surface area of House Of The Sea is two and a half hectares and will be expanded in the future. The location and natural landscape with a hundred ancient olive trees create a private and enchanting atmosphere. The property has breathtaking vistas of the bay of Poros Beach and the wide open sea with several islands. The night sky is brilliant with stars, and the distant lights of Poros Village sparkle on the mountainside. It is magical. Seductively peaceful. With a silence that’s only broken by the chirping songs of the crickets.

The start-up phase of House Of The Sea consists of two unique houses, ‘Olives’ and ‘Roses’, the latter to be completed in 2008. House Of The Sea lets you enjoy an environment of beauty and authenticity on an island known for its friendly people. The two guest houses reflect that beauty inside and out. Inside, the houses are havens of warmth, style and luxury, providing all the comfort and high standards that guests of House Of The Sea are accustomed to. Both ‘Olives’ and ‘Roses’ have marvellous, spacious swimming pools for the ultimate in swimming luxury. The two properties are all seasons houses and have cosy fireplaces for the somewhat cooler, off-season months.

The houses have delightful terraces and are surrounded by beautiful, unspoilt nature and mature olive and palm trees. The interiors of the houses create an enchanting atmosphere, and looking out from the living room, the covered veranda or one of the terraces - or even from inside the pool - across the intensely blue sea and the lovely bay, it all becomes part of this unique setting. Other essential, atmosphere-enhancing elements are the interior design, consisting of a balanced collection of contemporary furniture, fine antiques and original works of art, as well as decorative fireplaces. More appealing ‘centres de ambiance’ are hardly imaginable.

A 5-star destination that offers the rare combination of comfort, luxury, style and class

The architecture and construction of the House Of The Sea accommodations distinguish themselves almost entirely from the quality commonly found in Greece. The houses provide an exceptionally high standard of luxury and comfort. The interior is flooded in light. We opted for the best craftsmanship and building materials. The architecture is open and traditional in feeling. The atmosphere is elegant.

House Of The Sea is far more than a beautiful collection of magnificently situated houses. The interiors also represent a collection of fine antiques and original works of art. The antiques are harmoniously combined with timeless furniture and lack the sense of heaviness often associated with antiques. The ambience is light, sunny and warm.

The interiors have a unique quality rarely found in the top end of the international rental market. These accommodations have nothing in common with a suite in a luxury hotel, nor with often poorly and unimaginatively furnished, high rental properties. House Of The Sea offers a quality of life that appeals to all the senses with its beauty, style, luxury, homey atmosphere and an almost tangible quiet elegance, an aspect characteristic of true quality.

Please be advised that we rent to non-smokers only.

‘Olives’ has a very generous layout. The living area, with a very convenient kitchen, is nearly 150 m², including a covered veranda of 40 m² which, in southern countries, is a delightful place to relax, while offering extra living space. The ground floor bedroom, adjacent to the living room entrance, has a delightful view of the mountain village of Poros on the opposite hill. The terrace belonging to this bedroom adjoins the large, palm-fringed swimming pool.

On the first floor, there are a large master bedroom with a lovely terrace and a smaller bedroom with a big balcony. The terrace adjacent to the master bedroom has a surface area of 65 m². This luxurious, spacious property is a very exclusive house that is inviting and comfortable during all seasons. It’s the perfect setting for a honeymoon. But it is also ideal for six persons, offering abundant privacy. Guests who appreciate space, luxury and beautiful art will feel at home in ‘Olives’.
